The Shared Clock

Doom Track

A 13-value pressure clock, shared by the whole party. Reach 13 and the party loses. Doom's only effect on monster spawning is which tier appears — it never modifies stats and never self-triggers a spawn.

Safe · 1–5

The Monster deck contains only Common monster cards — every draw is a Common monster.

Grim · 6–10

Elite monster cards have been shuffled into the Monster deck (starting the moment Doom first reached 6) — draws can now produce Common or Elite at random.

Forsaken · 11–13

Spawns draw from the spawnable Boss pool (currently: Blighted Warden, Cinderfang, Malachar — all 3 equally eligible). Spawn at the tile the current Prophecy points to. Spawn a Rift if there is no Rift on this tile.

Doom Increases

  • A Doom Fate token, when every space on its target tile already holds a Doom token (the tile fills up before the Doom Track advances)
  • A Monster Fate token, when the target tile's perimeter is fully occupied by monsters
  • All heroes taking a Short Rest during Restoration (+1, regardless of that round's Fate tokens)
